Bio

Born to a family of artists, I have been painting since the early 90s. Since my father was a military officer, I moved a great deal as a child, throughout the U.S. and Central America. Because we were so often far from home, my parents made art to create a place that would bring a sense of belonging to us. I strive to create pieces that might bring others that same comfort.

My sense of the world around me drives my conversation on canvas. I am interested in global dialogue, national politics, women's issues, and literature. I find the human condition, the history of our country, our place on the planet, and how we relate to our own complicated past, a constant source of interest.
